Ready to return to your studies?

If you’ve been away from your studies for two years or less, you may be eligible for a direct readmission into your program.

Applying for readmission

Submit your application before O-Week of the term you plan to recommence in to ensure it is considered. Find important dates on the Academic Calendar and Key Dates.

When you're ready to apply for Readmission, head to the form below and choose ‘Program Readmission Request’ for Enquiry Type.

To ensure your application is ready to be considered, make sure you include:

  • Your full name & date of birth
  • Your student ID (if available) - z#######
  • Your program of study or degree
  • The term you wish to recommence studying & reason why
  • Why you didn’t submit program leave or notify UNSW of any extended leave
  • Exceptional circumstances evidence (if applicable) - any supporting documents and an explanation of your circumstances.

Note: Maximum Time to Complete Program (MTTC) will be considered when assessing your request.

Once your request has been processed, you’ll be notified of the outcome by email to your nominated email address.

If your application is successful, you’ll be reactivated for the next available term and able to enrol in your courses.

If your application is not successful, you’ll be notified and required to formally reapply through UAC or Apply Online.

Has the census date passed?

If you aren't enrolled by the relevant census date and haven’t been granted program leave for that teaching period, you’ll be discontinued from your program.
