Join us on 19 September 2023 for an Alumni Continuing Education Evening on Evidence Based Optometry.

For over 10 years at UNSW Sydney, we have been investigating evidence-based Optometry across diverse clinical conditions, from diabetic retinopathy to glaucoma to contact lens adverse events.

Please join us to hear from evidence-based practice researchers:

  • Dr Kirsten Challinor, Neuroscientist from the University of Sydney
  • Dr Terry Ho, Lecturer from the University of Canberra
  • Dr Melinda Toomey, Research Fellow at the University of Queensland
  • Dr Rajendra Gyawali, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian Institute of Health Innovation at Macquarie University
  • Ms SL Stephanie Yeo, PhD candidate and an owner/optometrist in Perth

The panel will present on the challenges of delivery of evidence based eyecare in the context of how-to better measure and enhance the delivery of care for optometry patients.

UNSW’s Professor Isabelle Jalbert will moderate the evening with a Q&A session at the end where you will have the opportunity to ask questions.

We will be running the evening in a hybrid format where you may attend in person to network with your fellow alumni or view online.
