Join UNSW School of Optometry & Vision Science for an alumni evening on 29 October 2024 with the theme of “Cardiovascular Diseases and the Eye”.
The eye can be considered the window to the heart, providing critical insights into systemic health beyond mere visual function. This event will present expert-led discussions on the ocular manifestations of cardiovascular diseases, the incorporation of blood pressure measurements into optometric practice, and the neurological implications of cardiovascular conditions on ocular health.
As Optometrists, our role extends beyond the eye, encompassing a holistic view of our patients' overall systemic health. This alumni evening will offer in-depth analysis of how evidence-based practices and multidisciplinary collaboration can advance patient care, highlighting the expanding role of optometry in the management of systemic health.
We have a fantastic line up of speakers for the evening and hope that you can make it.
