Physics education research (PER)

Project ID: 166, 167

Supervisor(s): Christine Lindstrøm

Christine Lindstrøm leads the research conducted by the Physics Education Research for Evidence Centred Teaching (PERfECT) group. Physics Education Research (PER) focuses on studying teaching in a university setting, including what teaching methods are most effective for various physics content, evaluating what students know to improve teaching design, student motivation and experiences in physics, and improving understanding of which topics or concepts are particularly challenging for students.

Christine is particularly interested in student understanding of astronomical scale and how to support academics in transitioning to more evidence-based teaching methods.
