At UNSW Medicine & Health, we provide postgraduate research candidates with training in academic and professional skills to prepare them for their future careers. As a postgraduate research candidate, your training will balance key theoretical aspects with practical hands-on skills that are crucial for your success in the workplace.

3 Minute Thesis competition

All researchers require a number of critical skills. Most importantly, you must be able to communicate your work and present its importance to different audiences. The 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) competition allows you to demonstrate both skills simultaneously.

In the lead up to the UNSW 3MT competition, the faculty runs a 3MT heat between June and August every year. We recommend that you take part in the 3 Minute Thesis Development Series: Webinar & Workshops to prepare your 3MT presentation.

Industry programs designed for your future
