2026 Academic Esports World Tournament
UNSW Sydney will host universities from around the world to compete in the Academic Esports World Tournament, a unique global event where academic excellence meets competitive gaming.
AEWT combines competitive Esports with academic challenges, creating a stage where students can compete, collaborate and innovate within an international setting.
Across five days teams battle for glory in Esports titles like League of Legends, Valorant, Rocket League, and Teamfight Tactics, while also pitching entrepreneurial ideas, designing games and engaging in live academic debates.
For students, it’s a chance to test their skills in a high-pressure, real-world environment, grow as leaders, and connect with peers from across the globe. For universities, it’s an opportunity to showcase talent, champion diversity and demonstrate how education can evolve in the digital age.
