Yifeng Wu

Yifeng currently works as an insurance broker and Associate Director an Aon-COFCO, a joint venture of the US company Aon and one of China's largest state owned company COFCO group, serving multiple multinational clients on their employee benefit programs. 

What was a key highlight/memory of your time studying at UNSW?

During my years studying at UNSW, I have been committed to the development of student clubs and societies. I served in the Chinese Students Association, actively participating in and organizing various events. Academically, UNSW offers a wide range of course options. Although I majored in Accounting and Finance, the university's rich selection of elective courses allowed me to independently choose some non-specialized courses as well.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

UNSW's career consulting services are actually very strong. Be sure to actively seek advice before graduating and attend career expos—these can bring you many internship or post-graduation job opportunities. If you can gain more internship experience before graduation, it will also help you figure out what you truly want to do.

How did studying abroad shape your personal or professional growth?

My overseas study experience has broadened my worldview. Meanwhile, studying at UNSW taught me how to communicate better with others and express my ideas more openly. This has greatly benefited me in my later work.
