The Institute of Global Finance (IGF) brings together the brightest minds in banking and finance from across the world. Members of the IGF come from leading universities, corporations and research institutes. Housed at UNSW Business School in Sydney Australia, the IGF works closely with NYU Stern Business School’s Volatility and Risk Institute.



The IGF works with industry, policy makers, researchers and financial market participants. The IGF’s overall objectives are to conduct high quality policy research, events and engagement on the following four major themes: Interconnectedness and systemic risk ( including macroeconomic, monetary and fiscal policies) , Global Financial Stability, Global Governance (including effective policies to deal with climate change and climate finance) and Global Prosperity.

The IGF draws on the experience and expertise of a range of global experts who collaborate with us or serve on the Steering Committee or International Advisory Board. Members of the committee have undertaken extensive research in the field and been published in many leading journals.
