The Assessment and Progression Policy, in particular, clauses 4.5 and 4.6 in the Assessment Allowances Instructions, set out the allowances for students who fail a course or courses in their final term of study. This policy applies from T3 2026 onwards.
Attendance at a Supplementary exam
Where a student is granted a failed final supplementary exam, the exam will be the typical assessment granted. Students eligible for this alternate exam will be notified in writing to their Zmail account.
Students must make themselves available to attend the supplementary exam. If you are ill or are prevented from attending by circumstances beyond your control, you must submit a Special Consideration application as soon as possible and inform the Exams team.
