  • The Student Offerings resource was created by the UNSW Science EDI team to outline student support resources both in our faculty and at UNSW broadly. In this pack, you’ll be able to quickly and easily find information on resources available to you to enhance your UNSW experience.

  • Applications have opened for the Science Student EDI Awards. The awards recognise and celebrate the contributions of students to the cultivation of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) at the University and beyond.

    Who can apply?

Science students at the undergraduate, Honours, and postgraduate levels are invited to apply, including those studying part-time and dual degrees. Both third-party and self-nominations are welcomed. Awards will not be granted to previous Science Student EDI Award recipients.

Nominees must have demonstrably contributed to the equity, diversity, and inclusion space, which may include outreach, advocacy, engagement, or enhancing visibility and awareness of EDI issues.

    The process

Once submitted, applications will undergo an academic standing check before being reviewed by a committee, comprising the Associate Dean(s) EDI, the Science EDI Project Officer, and the Faculty of Science Strategy Manager. Applicants will be notified about the status of their submission no later than two weeks after the deadline. If awardees consent, the award will be publicised on the Science website and in other outlets.

Submissions close at 5pm on Friday 7 October. APPLY HERE
