Eigenvalue asymptotics for a parameter-elliptic multi-order boundary problem

Abstract:

A priori estimates have recently been established for a parameter-elliptic multi-order boundary problem for differential operators and for a class of boundary operators which include those of Dirichlet. In this talk we explain how these estimates can be used to derive information concerning the asymptotic behaviour of the eigenvalues of the Hilbert space operator induced by the boundary problem under null boundary conditions.
