Zorn's Lemma - The Movie

Abstract:

This is the first of what I hope will be many mathematically themed movie nights.

We shall begin with some background on this famous and controversial lemma of Zorn. Followed by a screening of Hollis Frampton's Zorn's Lemma

This film has been described as "An exercise in mathematical logic in cinema". In this seminar, we shall grade Frampton's exercise and assess the mathematics behind his film.
