Abstract:

The set of upper triangular matrices equipped with the matrix pp-norm provides the simplest example of a non-commutative Hardy space.  More generally, one can construct so-called Hardy spaces from any nest algebra of operators on a Hilbert space.  This talk addresses the interpolation of such spaces, and the connections with factorization properties of nest algebras and distance formulae.
