Abstract:
There is a well-known analogy in Number Theory between number fields and function fields. Under this analogy, Drinfeld modules correspond to elliptic curves and Drinfeld modular forms correspond to classical (elliptic) modular forms. In this talk, I will give an introduction to these topics and outline some of my own work in the area.
