In work with Robertson and Sims, I found a way to cook up a KMS weight/state on a Cuntz-Pimsner algebra starting with a very strange operator-valued weight. I will describe the construction.
If I have time I will describe almost completed work with Goffeng and Usachev which, among other things, relates this construction to a more systematic construction of Laca and Neshveyev. This is interesting because of the relation to Banach limits and the Li ideal.
