Stochastic Optimal Control in Ferromagnetism

Abstract:

I discuss the optimal control via an exterior field of a ferromagnetic chain immersed into a heat bath. For its numerical realization, I compare an approach which rests on Pontryagin’s maximum principle with another one which is based on the dynamic programming principle. - This is joint work with T.
