A dialogue between Fourier decoupling and number theory

Abstract

I will discuss some thoughts about how the communities of number theorists and harmonic analysts have been working together to advance our understanding of Vinogradov's mean-value theorem. Based on joint work with Shaoming Guo, Zane Kun Li and Pavel Zorin-Kranich, with inspirations from Trevor Wooley.
