Random walks of how neurons grow and lessons from the connectome

Abstract

What is the connectome? How can we model growing neurons and what does this tell us about the fundamental nature in which they form synapses and branch? In this talk, I will show some initial data analysis, an interesting property of all neurons in the brain of a maggot and some simple methods to model their growth.
