Abstract
This year I have taught MATH1231 Calculus twice. In T1 I had a very enthusiastic student approach me, asking for graphs and applets ahead of time, so that they could get a sense of "how the mathematics works, visually". As part of this process, I found that there had been some recent innovations made in Desmos that might help ease the transition from Highschool to University studies, and so I started including my own applets and animations as part of a webpage that students could access both during lectures (to follow along) and outside of class (for revision). In this talk, I will briefly summarise some of the work I created, but also demonstrate some of the recent innovations from Desmos that might help students in other courses.
