Featuring sessions tailored to students of all stages, from first year to PhD.
This year's Advanced Mathematics Day will feature three different sessions tailored to students of different stages:
Choosing Your Major - for first and second year Advanced Maths students. (SESSION CANCELLED)
Honours Info Session - for pre-Honours students across Advanced Maths, and Maths & Stats Majors on the brink of Honours.
Beyond Your Mathematics Degree - for current Honours, Masters and PhD students in Mathematics and Statistics.

Choosing Your Major
10am-11.30am, Tyree Room (Scientia)
Join us for Advanced Mathematics Day at UNSW to find out all about choosing your major and receive some guidance on the next steps of your studies! This session is tailored for first and second year Advanced Maths students.
Wondering whether to major in Applied Maths, Pure Maths or Statistics? Our staff members will provide all the info you need to make it an easy decision. Join us for morning tea afterwards and meet fellow students and members of the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
Featuring lucky door prizes, delicious food and an opportunity to have all your questions answered!

Location: The event will be held in the Tyree Room of the Scientia building, from 10.00-11.30am. The Tyree Room is just upstairs from the Scientia's main foyer. The Scientia is located at map reference G19 on the UNSW campus map.

Honours Info Session

Join us for this special Honours Info Session to find out all about the Honours year and to receive some guidance in the next steps of your studies!
Are you an Advanced Maths student on the brink of Honours, a Maths and Stats major who is approaching the Honours year, or simply someone who is curious about doing Honours in Mathematics and Statistics?
Come along to our special Honours session to hear an overview of the Honours year, pose questions to a Q&A featuring some of our former Honours students, and to learn about potential Honours projects that we can offer. Join us for morning tea at 11am, with the info session to commence at 11.30am. Following the session, we will host a lunch for you at 12.45pm where you can meet fellow students and members of the School of Mathematics and Statistics.

Beyond Your Mathematics Degree
1.00-4.00pm, Tyree Room (Scientia)
Join us for this special Beyond Your Mathematics Degree session to hear about the many opportunities available to you once you have completed your degree.
Inviting all current Honours, Masters and PhD students in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. We also welcome those close to the end of their studies who want some insights about how to prepare for leaving university.
Come along to our Beyond Your Mathematics Degree session to hear from engaging speakers from academia and industry, and to meet fellow UNSW students and members of the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
Join us for lunch at 1pm, with the info session to commence at 2.00pm. Following the session, we will host a Happy Hour on the Tyree balcony with drinks and finger food. Can't make it for the whole session? Feel free to drop in any time from 1-3pm, we would love to see you.
