You may combine Law with Mathematics and Statistics in three ways:

Program 4770: Science/Law with either Mathematics, Statistics or Physical Oceanography as the Science major.

Program 3997: Advanced Science/Law with either Mathematics, Statistics or Advanced Physical Oceanography as the Advanced Science major.

Program 3998: Advanced Mathematics/Law with either Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics or Advanced Statistics as the Advanced Maths major.

Program 4770 is a five-year degree, or six years if Honours in the Science component is added. Program 3997 is a six-year degree, with Honours in the Science component an integrated part. Program 3998 also includes Honours in the Science component and so is usually a six-year degree.

Note: Law can also be combined with the Bachelor of Data Science and Decisions, program 4795.

  • The Law component of the combined degrees consists of:

    • 96uoc compulsory Law courses
    • 6uoc prescribed Law electives
    • 42uoc Law electives.
  • The Science component in program 4770 consists of:

It is also possible to do a Double Major in Mathematics and Statistics (84uoc) in this degree.

  • The Advanced Science component in program 3997 consists of

    • a Mathematics (60uoc), Statistics (60uoc) or Advanced Physical Oceanography (90uoc) major
    • SCIF1121 and further first year Science courses to total 24uoc Level I Science if necessary
    • further Science courses to a total of 96uoc of Science before commencement of Honours
    • 48uoc of Science Honours.

The Mathematics and Statistics majors in this plan are the same as for plan 4770, except that students are required to do the higher level courses where available.

It is also possible to do a Double Major in Mathematics and Statistics (84uoc) in this degree.

  • The Advanced Mathematics component in program 3998 consists of:
