Business School Students

Your university journey is your own.

"Embracing your UNIqueness" is a student-led article series sharing the experiences, ideas and advice of UNSW Business School students and graduates.

Through personal stories, students reflect on the people, opportunities and experiences that have shaped their time at UNSW — from finding a sense of belonging to exploring career possibilities and learning through challenges.

Find stories that speak to your journey

There’s no single way to make the most of university or build a future in business. These articles share different perspectives and practical insights from students who have navigated their own paths. Some stories may also offer helpful perspectives for high school students and people considering future study at UNSW.

Explore the articles below and find a perspective, idea or piece of advice that resonates with you.

Real student stories

Ideas and support for your journey

Different perspectives, shared

Discover a range of backgrounds, experiences and points of view from across the Business School community. Articles are shared through UNSW Business School channels and may also be circulated through student societies and programs.

Now it's time to share your story

Your experience at UNSW is yours to tell. We’re inviting current UNSW Business School students to share a story, reflection or piece of advice that could help another student feel inspired, find their way or make the most of their university experience.

You might write about a challenge you’ve worked through, a community or opportunity that has made a difference, how you’re balancing study with life beyond the classroom, or what you’ve learned about your future in business. You could also share practical advice about topics such as mentoring, student societies, internships, work-integrated learning, exchange, scholarships, choosing a specialisation or looking after your wellbeing.

Your article can be a personal reflection, a Q&A or another format that suits your story. You don’t need to have everything figured out—honest experiences and useful insights can make a difference to someone else.

Objectives:

  • Celebrate Diversity: Highlight the unique stories of students from various cultural, academic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Inspire Others: Provide relatable and motivational narratives to inspire fellow students and prospective students.
