Abstract:

CHeBA aims to conduct multidisciplinary research into ageing in health and disease, and be involved in knowledge dissemination and translational research. See http://cheba.unsw.edu.au/ for details. In this talk, we will introduce some of the projects that CHeBA is currently carrying out, in particular, we will focus on neuroimaging related projects. We will talk about the data we collect, the type of metrics that we want to extract from the brain scans and the challenges that we face. We will also have a brief introduction to the ever-expanding and popular idea of open data access as well as common public domain neuroimaging software packages. The seminar will be followed by wine and finger food with the speakers in the staff room RC-3082. All attendees are welcome!
