The Social Policy Research Centre worked with the Gendered Violence Research Network at UNSW Sydney and Curtin University to design, conduct and analyse a national survey of the domestic violence and sexual assault workforces. The project produced detailed knowledge about the characteristics of frontline employees working with victims and perpetrators of domestic and family violence and sexual assault, including their skills and skill development needs, and ways service quality and sustainability can be improved. The results will enhance the capacity of service systems to achieve the objectives of Australia’s National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010-2022.
