DPMP convenes the Harm Reduction in Prisons Working Group. The purpose of the group is to advance and achieve the elimination of hepatitis c and other blood borne viruses in Australian prisons. We do this through sharing information, coordinating efforts, developing strategies and advocating for the implementation of evidence-based health interventions in prisons and for health care equivalence.
DPMP also conducted a project mapping alcohol and other drug programs in the NSW corrections system, funded by NSW Corrective Services (2021) in collaboration with the Working Group.
