Social Policy Research Centre
The project for NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is led by Flinders University. Its aim is to improve the quality of behaviour support plans by developing resources that enable people with disability and their supports to use supported decision-making in developing high-quality plans in collaboration with Behaviour Support Practitioners and NDIS providers. The project is grounded in principles of supported decision-making and attend to the personhood and rights of people with disability who experience restrictive practices and behaviour support. The project deliverables will translate to a national approach to training and competency development, plan implementation and outcome measurement and continuous improvement that underpins high quality, consistent and safe behaviour support practices that are hallmarks of the future NDIS market.
