Abstract:
In this talk the speaker will report on some international developments for gender equality in higher education from her recent attendance at the 10th European Conference on Gender Equality in Higher Education. Based on some empirical data, she will then discuss how gender might influence teaching evaluation scores, and how men and women are evaluated differently.
About the speaker:
Yanan Fan is senior lecturer in the Statistics Department of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, UNSW Sydney. She is an Athena Swan member and has a particular interest in the role of unconscious bias in Higher Education.
