About Master of Applied Economics

UNSW’s Master of Applied Economics is a flexible, two-year degree that’s designed to prepare you for a career as a professional economist. This coursework program can be completed in as little as one year full-time, with recognition of prior learning for students who have a background in Economics.

You’ll first undertake five core courses covering quantitative methods for business, business economics, microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics. You’ll then complete an economics practicum and choose your remaining courses from a range of prescribed electives.

This degree is delivered face-to-face and online to allow for the most flexibility and to accommodate various learning styles. Whether you’re looking to upskill or seeking a pathway into the field, the UNSW Master of Applied Economics will get you there.
