With the Axiom genotyping platform, you can choose a pre-designed array, customise an existing design or create an entirely new array specifically designed to meet the needs of your study.  Axiom arrays are suitable for studies that require high density genotyping (1,500 to 2.6 million markers) and come in 96 array or 384 array plate format. Our lab was one of the first globally to be trained in the new ultra-high-throughput Axiom Propel 96F and 2x384HT workflows. The improved chemistry and scalability and use of liquid-handling instruments lead to greater efficiency, faster turnaround times, and lower cost per sample.

The Ramaciotti Centre for Genomics provides a micorbiome profiling service using Axiom microbiome arrays. This approach to microbiome analysis is suitable for many applications such as pathogen detection, evaluation of microbial status and response to treatment, monitoring livestock health, and for linkage studies on the impact of  microbiota on disease state.

Advantages of this approach include: 

• Profiling of human and animal microbiomes in a single assay.
• Coverage of over 11,000 organisms and 5 microbial domains: archaea, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and viruses.

The Ramaciotti Centre for Genomics now offers a genotyping service using the Illumina array technology. The flexibility of an automated system, combined with the Infinium workflow, allows us to provide a high-throughput service. With Illumina genotyping arrays you can explore single nucleotide variants (SNVs), copy number variants (CNVs), and large structural changes in DNA. Illumina genotyping array allows you to survey millions of markers across disease cohorts or populations. The technology is suitable for both custom and targeted genotyping.

Illumina Array options include:

• Infinium Global Screening Array-24 v3.0 (e.g., Blood, Saliva).
• Infinium Global Diversity Array-8 v1.0.
• Infinium iSelect Custom Genotyping Arrays.  
• Infinium CytoSNP-850K v1.3 Array ( e.g.,iPS cell line).

We now also offer Illumina methylation array technologies. The Infinium Methylation Array has extensive coverage of CpG islands, genes, and enhancers. This technology allows quantification of CpG sites at single base resolution.

• With the Illumina Human MethylationEPIC Array you can identify differentially methylated sites in tumor versus normal tissues and detect miRNA promotor regions as well as Dnase hypersensitive sites.
• Infinium Mouse Methylation Array detects over 285,000 markers, and it is designed for common laboratory mouse strains.
