This project investigates how Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM) can act as trustworthy stewards of First Nations knowledge in the AI era. It aims to embed Indigenous governance principles into metadata, access protocols, and rights management systems to prevent misuse and ensure respectful representation. Through legal, technical, and policy research, co-design workshops, and sector engagement, the project will produce practical tools, policy recommendations, and a community of practice.
