Suppose we would like to evaluate someone's knowledge in a particular domain via an adaptive multiple-choice test. If each question of the test evaluates knowledge of a single topic, and dependencies between topics is known, what is the most efficient way to determine the knowledge of someone taking the test?
This project will look at answering this question and other related questions. The results of this investigation have the potential to be used to improve adaptive multiple choice tests currently used by UNSW College for evaluating incoming undergraduates.
