UNSW Young Women in Engineering Club: Cybersecurity workshops

Wednesday, 17 July 2024

Register NOW to secure your place in one of our cybersecurity workshops! These are in-person workshops being held at the UNSW Kensington campus.

In each FREE workshop, you will learn about the field of cybersecurity and its importance on an individual and global level. You will learn about how passwords are stored and the programming basics involved with password hacking.

Under the guidance of current engineering and computer science students, you will gain an insight into what it is like to study STEM at UNSW. By the end of the workshop you'll have learnt the fundamental principles surrounding cybersecurity and programming skills required to become a HACKER!

Choose a workshop being run on Wednesday 17 July:

  • Year 7-9 morning workshop: 11:30am - 1:30pm
  • Year 10-12 afternoon workshop: 3pm - 5pm

Location: UNSW Sydney Kensington campus.

Places for each workshop are limited to 30 for Year 7-9 and 40 for Year 10-12. Please only select one ticket for one of the workshops (either the morning or afternoon workshop for your age group). Once the workshops are full, you can be added to a waitlist and notified if a place becomes available.

For these workshops, you will be required to return a permission form signed by a parent or guardian, which will be emailed to you in advance of the workshop along with details on how to find the venue. Please note that your place in the workshop is not confirmed until the permission form is returned.
