Dr. Chengchen Zhang is currently a Research Associate at the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering (GSBmE) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where she is working under the supervision of Professor Ewa Goldys. Her current research project is focused on developing an enzyme-assisted Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) for the ultra-sensitive diagnosis of diseases. Prior to joining GSBmE, she completed her Ph.D. in December 2022 from the School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW, where she was supervised by Professor Kourosh Kalantar-Zadeh. Her doctoral research focused on liquid metal-based nanomaterials for biomedical applications.
Dr. Zhang has published over 22 peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals such as ACS Nano, Advanced Functional Materials, Small, Chemistry of Materials, ACS Applied Materials Interfaces, Applied Materials Today, and so on. Her research has been cited over 500 times (updated as of March 2023, Google scholar) and her h-index is 12. She has also been invited as a Guest Editor for Biosensors and Review Editor for Frontiers in Medical Technology. She regularly serves as a reviewer for journals such as Research, Journal of Nanobiotechnology, Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, and Scientific Reports.
